When planning a wedding, it can sometimes seem like there are a million decisions that need to be made. Big decisions like the location and food, and small decisions…like whatever seems of lesser importance.
The big decisions were easy – Dunton and their amazing culinary staff. No time spent touring venues, no time spent tasting caterers, and no time trying to guess how much booze to buy.
Plus, our guests had an all-inclusive, order what they want, drink what they want kind of a weekend.
There are the fun decisions, like the dress – a sheer champagne bodice with Swarovski crystal and beading on top of a tulle skirt that seemed to go on for days.
And the to die for shoes (one of the few things bought that have been used after the wedding!).
There was the champagne filled trip to the jeweler to pick out wedding bands. A satin finish platinum for the Mr. and a diamond/sapphire combination for the Mrs.
And then there was the severely procrastinated decisions on decor and flowers.
Incredible dried bushels of wildflowers from upstate New York
That looked oh so incredible when mixed in with fresh roses and pillar candles of all different heights.
Finally, closing out the evening, a decadent chocolate and raspberry cake with vanilla buttercream and gold leaf.
All the devilish little details that made up our perfect day!
