Christmas Curlers

In our Chicago wanderings, we hit up all the popular spots – from The Bean/Cloud Gate

To Millennium Park.

And, of course, the Art Institute of Chicago, flanked by its proud and festive lions.

There were many activities along the way to try and distract us, like this wonderful (free) ice skating rink,

But we had our sights set on something truly unique.

Every year we try to find one special and fun thing to do around the holidays. This year it was curling at the rooftop bar at The Gwen.

An outdoor rooftop bar in Chicago in December…are you guys crazy!?! The answer is yes, we’re crazy…crazy about fun!

And crazy about our heat lamps and warm beverages.

All jokes aside, The Gwen has transformed their rooftop space into a perfect winter wonderland, complete with a bright pink moose and cozy cabin.

And even when the sun sets, the fire pits keep at least the top part of your body warm enough to be bearable.

(Although admittedly we retreated to the comfort of an indoor fireplace shortly after this photo.)

We won’t tell you who won…all we’ll say is Olympics 2022 here we come!
