Coming from Colorado, there’s an unspoken rule that we’re not supposed to say anything nice about the neighboring Utah mountains…it’s a little bit of a rocky mountain rivalry.
It all seems a little silly, though, especially when Park City is on the other side of our border!
Complete with a recognizable main street,
And stairways to (real estate) heaven.
Park City has charming and delicious restaurants and markets,
And bars for fresh cocktails and local beers.
Pop in and out of a couple establishments…who knows, maybe one will give you an idea for a career change.
There’s artwork throughout the town,
Including our new moose friend.
And shopping to your heart’s delight, from fashion
To interior decor.
There are sweet little outdoor areas for sitting, standing, or biking.
And landmarks of film history, like the Egyptian Theater, the centerpiece of the Sundance Film Festival.
Our neighbors to the west have some incredible areas to explore. If you get the chance to check out Utah, make sure to stop by Park City – it’ll be one of the peak experiences of your trip!

I’m from Utah and my brother actually lives in Park City, up one of those staircases! Great place to visit, and if you ski or snowboard, you’ll love it in the winter.

Very cool!! Park City seems to have such a great vibe to it! Neal wants to pair another trip with a Jazz game. It’s great that it is not far at all from SLC.

Considering that there is a constant flux of Coloradans into Utah year-round to hike, bike, ski, float, or sightsee, I would say that our state to the west wins the popularity contest!

Their national parks are second to none! We are planning a national park trip and trying to time it right to avoid the big crowds!

We have always tried to visit the National Parks there before Memorial or after Labor Day, and preferably during the week, as opposed to on a weekend. It helps, but even then it is nigh impossible to avoid some crowds. We are “loving them to death.” ☹

Thanks for the good advice! We will give those parameters a shot! We see articles about lines at the entrance, one about Rocky Mountain National Park comes to mind, where it looks like a parking lot just getting in!
